Journey of Art and Passion: Saphy M S, aka Chithra Jyothi

I am Saphy M S and my pen name is Chithra Jyothi. I was born in Chettikulangara, a traditional village in Alappuzha district of Kerala State. I now live in Kayamkulam with my spouse Mr. Jyothi Narayanan and only daughter Abhirami J Narayan. Artist Krishnan Pattoor was my first mentor, and I later studied under artist Kochukutty before enrolling at the Govt. Raja Ravi Varma College of Fine Arts, Mavelikara, where I got a 5 year National Diploma in 1998.I worked as a guest lecturer at the Govt. Engineering College. Thiruvananthapuram and I am presently the co-scholastic department head at Holy Trinity Vidyabhavan, Karthikapally. Harippad.
